For Albertine Sarges – Berlin-born musician and producer – it’s a vessel that she uses for self-exploration and growth, never more so than on her album The Sticky Fingers (out in 2021 via Moshi Moshi Records). Approaching her take on feminist theory, musings on bisexuality, and mental health, AS musical endeavors move from Viv Albertine-inspired post-punk and kaleidoscopic dream-pop to quiet-loud guitar squall and Tune-Yards reminiscent vocal acrobatics.
